For several years now, we have been heating all of our production halls with our own scrap wood. Instead of producing waste, we are using it to actively generate energy. This is improving our carbon footprint by approximately 60 tonnes per year.
By deciding to generate certified green electricity from regenerative energy sources, we are making a further contribution to the sustainable protection of the climate and the environment. On balance, this means a reduction of 190 tonnes of CO2 per year. Our in-house solar power system also generates approximately 100,000 kilowatt hours of solar electricity, saving on average an extra 38 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
