How we became the Brand Name for Brand Names.

   

2009

Permanent updating of IT systems and CAD software is a prerequisite for professional appearance and absolute competitiveness. At the beginning of the year Münch + Münch invests into this division. Employees are trained thoroughly in the use of newly installed software.

A further milestone in architecture: The new logistic center - with an area of 5000 m² -  is finished.


2008

Internationalization got improved further with an excellent trade-fair appearance – Euroshop in Düsseldorf at the beginning of the year.

Münch family and all staff of Münch + Münch grieve for senior proprietor Kurt Münch. At the age of 77 the founder of Münch + Münch company and father of Jörg and Konrad Münch passed away.

Factory premises are enlarged by acquisition of a neighbouring property. Here a new production hall of 5000 m² is planned. Moving into this new building our logistics department will be enlarged and more professionally positioned.




2007

Further investments flew into the upgrading of new server and storage architecture.

The preparations for the Euroshop 2008 went at full blast in the project team.

2006

Internationalization got improved further!
Global brands trusted on the growing competence and experience.
Brands like HUGO BOSS or NESPRESSO which are represented worldwide with own shop concepts are part of it (further information under project).

Münch + Münch grew to accomplish the tasks and challenges.
With further new appointments the staff number increased over 100.

The EDV also must remain up to date, the LAN optical fiber network is replaced.
The production got two new machining centers with more flexible ranges of application by extended tool equipping and automatic charging.
The fleet of vehicles was extended with another truck, 7,5t.



2005

Münch + Münch took part in the Euroshop 2005, the global retail trade fair.


2004

Further CONRAD stores were realized.

Münch+Münch won a new customer within the travel agencies - ATLAS REISEN. With the participation at ITB Fair in Berlin Münch+Münch restored its position in the touristic market.


2003

Münch + Münch entered international floor with ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS. Stores in Tokyo, Singapore, Taipei, Taichung, Dubai and Sofia were furnished by Münch + Münch. The presentation system, which is developed and produced by
Münch + Münch, is globally exported.

Münch + Münch developed and realized a new store concept for CONRAD ELECTRONIC.
The wholesale concept was realized in Wernberg for the first time.
Way leadership, conducting system, color concept and special presentation areas were part of the new image (further information under project).


2002

Münch + Münch as the only branch newcomer won the competition about the customer ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS. Therefore Münch + Münch entered into the housewares industry.
Münch + Münch is the contact and full service provider everywhere there, where it is essential to present
ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS brand and its products.


2001

A difficult year. Münch + Münch customized to the economic conditions by reorganization. Sixteen employees had to take their notice.

Münch + Münch supported his long-standing customer VIAG Interkom in renaming themselves with the internationally unitary name O2. A logistic challenge, which was accomplished: every week Münch + Münch rebranded 50 stores.
High-performance at highest quality.

Also the tourism industry focused on ‘store in motion’. Münch + Münch developed a new room and function concept. First travel agency carried out: The DERPART’s flagship locating in Quickborn.


2000

The business philosophy of Münch + Münch has finally got its name. The new idea
‘store in motion’ was born. Coevally the corporate design was newly arranged.

The constant customization to the current requirements of our customers kept us innovating. Therefore we required room. Now we possess 9500 sqm manufacture space and storage capacity at one place.

Since the first hour Münch + Münch accompanied the mobile telephone expansion at the German market. In the meantime it is an established market leading shop furnisher.


1999

New customers, new projects and aplenty of plans.
Münch + Münch grew to accomplish the tasks and challenges. Only within one year 30 new “Münchianer” joined us. The staff number increased over 100 in the meantime.

Münch + Münch developed and realized a new shop in shop system for T-Mobile: Basic Line.
By 2170 shop in shop solutions in German specialized trade till today, the standardized and distinctive appearance of
T-Mobile copes with identity and preserves the brand name.


1998

VIAG Interkom launched into the German telecommunications market.
By making use of its high performance Münch + Münch acquired a full service partner in the competition for the customer.
The first 10 shops were opened in Berlin, Essen, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart at the same time, on October 1st, 2004.


1997

Further concentration and capabilities in architecture and design.


1995

First venture into the telecommunications market with shop-in-shop fixtures and complete telecommunications stores (Mannesmann Mobilfunk).

Creation of the bath showroom department which to date has realized over 300 bath showrooms.


1991

Founding of Münch + Münch GmbH with Jörg Münch and Konrad Münch as Executive managers.

Main task: Fairs and showrooms for, among others, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, AEG. Presentation systems for “White” Appliances (AEG), high-grade interior furnishing for, among others, Mercedes Benz, Boston consulting Group, Mannesmann.

Production using exclusively CNC-Technology.

1961

Founding by Kurt Münch based in Frankfurt / Main, Germany.

Main task: store and restaurant construction for “Nordsee”

Main task: high-grade interior furnishing , for administration and conference rooms for AEG and Mannesmann. Exhibition and sales rooms for Daimler-Benz AG and ADAC.
