Forward-looking. In 1961, Kurt Münch sets up the company with head offices in Frankfurt/Main. The business focus is on high-end interior design and fitting out. Clients include AEG, Daimler-Benz and the German Automobile Association, ADAC. The Münch+Münch GmbH is established as a limited liability company in 1991, with Jörg and Konrad Münch as managing directors. In 2010, Andreas Mink joins the board of directors, his core responsibility being sales. Sustained investment in the latest production technology, continuous development and a consistent focus on bringing brands to life through interesting and vibrant designs lead to national and international success.

2011  

Münch+Münch is the first shop fitting business in Europe to invest in HOMAG LaserTec.

2010  

Andreas Mink joins the board of directors in November 2010, as Münch+Münch’s head office staff moves into new premises.

2009  

A new logistics centre with a floorspace of 5,000 square metres is opened.

2008  

The Münch family and Münch+Münch staff mourn the death of Kurt Münch, company founder and father of Jörg and Konrad Münch, who died at the age of 77.

2006  

Further internationalisation: the global brands Hugo Boss and Nespresso join the company’s list of regular clients.

2003  

Münch+Münch enters the international stage with ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS, fitting out shops in Tokyo, Singapore, Taipei, Taichung and Dubai. Display systems created by Münch+Münch are exported around the world.

2001  

Münch+Münch takes VIAG Intercom through the rebrand phase as it becomes O2.

2000  

The company’s business philosophy is captured in the new strapline “store in motion”. Hand in hand with this a new corporate design is developed.

1999  

Münch+Münch develops the new “BasicLine” Shop-in-Shop system for T-Mobile. The consistent and instantly recognisable display has since been used in 2,170 stores throughout Germany, creating a strong and unmistakable identity for the brand.

The Münch + Münch GmbH is established, with the two brothers Jörg and Konrad Münch at its helm.

Its main focus is high-end interior design, with commissions ranging from directors’ and conference suites for AEG and Mannesmann to exhibition spaces and showrooms for Daimler-Benz and the ADAC automobile association to food outlets for the nationwide restaurant chain Nordsee.
